September is Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Month!
As one of the core focus areas for Rotary International, Rotary clubs and members worldwide focus on improving access to quality education, supporting literacy programs, and empowering individuals to achieve their full potential through learning and literacy.
September serves as a time to reinforce Rotary’s deep commitment to education as a fundamental human right.
In this month:
- We Increase Focus on Programs and projects that support education and literacy.
- Carry out community Engagements where we raise awareness about the importance of basic education and literacy through various platforms
- We increase Advocacy for Education throughout the month to emphasize how education is a powerful tool for creating change, fostering leadership, and improving the well-being of individuals and our communities
- We Support for Initiatives that promote learning opportunities in our communities and internationally.
Education provides confidence, opportunity, and the skills needed to become leaders and transform communities.
Literacy is seen as a key to creating more equitable and just societies.
