Handover of Reconstructive Surgery Training Centre to UNZA School of Medicine
On Wednesday 19 June 2024 the Rotary Club of Lusaka in partnership with 5 Rotary Clubs of Japan handed over the first Reconstructive Surgery Training Centre (Training Centre) in Zambia to the University of Zambia, School of Medicine.
The Training Centre will provide specialized training for surgeons in reconstructive surgery and this will benefit patients with body abnormalities caused by birth defects, injury, burns, disease and aging.
The donation was made possible by a Rotary Global Grant in the sum of $80,600 from Rotary Foundation. This speaks to the power of Rotary which brought together 6 Clubs namely: Rotary Club of Lusaka, Rotary Clubs of Yokkaichi, Yokkaichi East, Yokkaichi West, Yokkaichi South and Yokkaichi North.
